We are delighted to introduce our new program manager, Dr. James Wood, who is replacing Aabiya Baqai. Dr. Wood has been with CTEDD as a postdoctoral associate for more than one year prior to this appointment. Dr. Wood obtained his doctorate in Urban and Regional Planning from Florida State University in 2018. While at Florida State, he served as a Research Fellow with the Center for Accessibility and Safety for an Aging Population. He also has been taking the lead on many research and non-research activities of CTEDD in the past year.
In addition to his academic background on transportation research which would be a unique asset to this position, James is very familiar with CTEDD’s programs and procedures and could immediately take the lead on the day-to-day operation of the center.
Dr. Wood says “Being Program Manager is a great opportunity to learn about the administrative side of research. It’s also a great chance to help dozens of busy transportation scholars to grow their research through CTEDD. I’m really looking forward to it”
